Item 5.02.
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Emerson Electric Co. (the “Company”) announced that, effective on March 2, 2021, Michael H. Train has stepped down as President of the Company to become Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of Emerson. Also effective on March 2, 2021, Emerson’s Chief Executive Officer, Surendral (Lal) L. Karsanbhai, has been appointed to the additional office of President.
As previously announced, Mr. Karsanbhai, 51, became Chief Executive Officer and a Director, effective February 5, 2021. Previously, Mr. Karsanbahi was Executive President of Automation Solutions beginning in October 2018, was Group President - Measurement & Analytical from 2016 through September 2018, and President Emerson Network Power Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2014 through 2016 .
