Other Events   Announcement that on December 15, 2021, Middlesex Water Company (NASDAQ:MSEX) received approval from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for a $27.7 million, or a 33.6% increase in its base water rates. The new rates will be phased in over the next two years with $20.8 million in Phase 1, effective January 1, 2022 and $6.9 million in Phase 2, effective January 1, 2023. The new rates are designed to allow for a 6.35% overall rate of return on invested capital on a rate base of $513.5 million. The authorized return on equity was set at 9.6%.
