(b) On May 16, 2019, Georges Gravanis, President, Label and Graphic Materials (“LGM”), notified Avery Dennison Corporation (the “Company”) of his decision to retire from the Company on December 31, 2019.  Mr. Gravanis, age 61, joined the Company in 2003.  After serving in increasing levels of responsibility in the Company’s LGM business group, he was appointed as its President effective May 2015.  Mr. Gravanis will continue to serve in his current capacity through his retirement date and is expected thereafter to leave the Company. 2 SIGNATURES Pursuant to the requirements of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the registrant has duly caused this report to be signed on its behalf by the undersigned hereunto duly authorized.
