Kennametal Inc. (“Kennametal” or the “Company”) today announced that it has initiated an action to streamline its cost structure while continuing to invest in its high-return Commercial and Operational Excellence initiatives. This action is currently expected to deliver annualized run rate pre-tax savings of approximately $20 million by the end of Fiscal Year 2024. The Company expects to incur a pre-tax charge of approximately $20 million in connection with the execution of this initiative, which is anticipated to be primarily severance-related cash expenditures .
