On August 21, 2019, Aflac Incorporated intends to discuss the contents of the following statement with analysts and investors. "In regard to today's media reports in Japan and as noted on our July 26, 2019, earnings call, we are conducting a rigorous, voluntary review of postal channel sales. This review is ongoing and should we become aware of any practices that are inconsistent with our compliance standards, we will take the necessary action and steps to address it immediately. As always, we are committed to being there for our policyholders, offering the best protection and the option to obtain it where they choose, whether at the more than 9,500 agencies and other distribution channels that sell Aflac cancer insurance.
